this one has a backstory. i was photographing a friends wedding and made friends with another guest and artist, Luke.

he found this amazing bug, and so he looked it up, it was an "acorn weevil." so we spent the rest of our time at this wedding looking for acorn weevils.

anyway, after the wedding, he told me to read The Picture of Dorian Gray and then sent me copy in the mail.

my Thank You letter to him, was this ink and watercolor illustration of an acorn weevil.

It’s all pat backs now, all painting portraits time
